Overview
Section titled “Overview”GenBank is NCBI’s archival collection of genome assemblies.
This namespace contains the selected current and historical GenBank assembly records, one row per versioned GCA assembly accession.
Use assembly_summary to navigate from a GenBank assembly to its paired RefSeq GCF assembly, when present.
The paired accession is the authoritative assembly-level connection to RefSeq; organism and species taxon IDs are separately supplied NCBI taxonomy identifiers.
